As the year comes to a close, life can become even more full and exhausting. With social engagements, work deadlines, family gatherings, the list goes on……Meditation at this time of year can be just what you need
But it doesn’t have to be exhausting, there are things we can do to nourish our body and mind that will increase our energy levels and have us feeling back to our normal selves again with a renewed vigour.
One of things we can do is to do a meditation or do a beautiful yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep. This is what I have recorded for you, a deep relaxation for body and mind. All you need is a quiet warm and quiet space where you can lie down for around 30 mins undisturbed. Research has proved that a 30 min yoga nidra can be the equivalent to 2-3 hour of actual sleep in terms of how it can refresh you.
So gift yourself this bit of ‘me’ time and then notice how you feel.
This week I bring my husband, Tom on to the show. He had a profound realisation while we were in Koh Phangnan in Thailand and I know that this is something that so many of us are working with at the moment – how to take action and not burn ourselves out. Tom Gerrard […]
In this episode I speak with Josje Leyten, a New Zealand born visual artist, creative, storyteller and sailor. She has an incredible story that’s involved following her intuition at a young age and and has led to her heading on incredible adventures across the world. After having sailed over 40,000 nautical miles across multiple oceans, she now has land legs and travels around Australia creating art and videos along the way with the intention to cultivate creativity and connection.
Josje has followed what lights her up and brings joy in her life and then shares this with others via her Ramatree website selling her artwork and publishing videos. She has chosen an adventurous life path, but one that also takes a lot of courage and bravery to go against the society norm. She truly is following her bliss, and it seems to be working out pretty well for her.

We’re back with Season 3 of Becoming Whole following a trip that hubby Tom and I took through Asia.
During our 7 week trip we travelled to Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. It was the perfect mix of the yin and the yang. Enjoying fun times with friends new and old, mixed with alone time, contemplation and time in nature.
Before we get stuck in with new interviews for this season, I wanted to share some fresh insights that I received on our trip.
In the past few weeks I had some deep revelations about trust and letting go. These are topics that I often talk about in my yoga classes. They are topics that I have spent much time reading about and also practicing in day to day life.
However, on this trip, something new was revealed to me. It was an embodied experience of letting go. Of allowing my body to meet life just as it is right now. Observing my reactions of resistance and then flowing with the current of the now.
I hope you enjoy the episode.
All my love

I’m excited to share another solo episode from me where I talk about the grace of slowing down. This is a topic close to my heart as I have been that ‘busy’ person trying to fill up my calendar for weeks in advance, hardly allowing any breathing space in my life. With all the busyness […]
This interview is such an enriching and soul nourishing one. I interview Gena Kenny, the owner of Ohana yoga studio in Port Melbourne, she is a magical lady, who beams love and light and truly walks her talk. She’s full of compassion and kindness as I’m sure you will feel from this episode.
And if you don’t know Gena, then here is a bit about her……..
Gena Kenny has taught yoga for more than a decade; she has also authored the top selling ‘Gift of Yoga” book and dvd. Gena discovered yoga through an injury in her previous career as a firefighter. Yoga helped her to not only overcome her physical injury but also helped her to gain skills to make life changes and move forward on her true path.
Gena believes that life is our true place of practice, what you learn about yourself in the yoga room plays out in your everyday life; When we learn how to focus our movements, when we discover the more subtle sensations of the physical body, we also open up the doorway to the more subtle sensations of the mind and emotional body.
